St. Thomas Hot Spots

Beaches

The reason you chose St. Thomas!

Magen's Bay

A large bay on the north side of St Thomas is well loved by locals and tourists alike! With so much to do, this is often ranked among the top ten beaches in the world! There is a popular beach bar & a concession stand with delicious pizza. Activities for all ages - rent kayaks, SUP boards, snorkel gear, and beach chairs/umbrellas. The water is filled with wild life such as sea turtles, sting rays, fish, and if you are really lucky - dolphins! The truly ambitious can hike the Magen's Bay trail!

Secret Harbor

A calm cove on the south side of St. Thomas, featuring a breezy, open air restaurant with enticing happy hour specials, this beach feels like a tropical getaway. Rent snorkel gear and explore the impressive coral reef (all the way to the right!) or get some much needed R&R lounging in hammocks under the palm trees.

Emerald/Lindburg Bay

This south side spot has some of the prettiest water on island. (Remember the stunning turquoise beach you saw as you landed?) Popular with local families for weekend parties, you can always count on a good time. Rent jet skis, kayaks, and SUP boards, or give parasailing a try! Emerald Beach Resort has a beach bar & full restaurant, but you can often find food trucks along the road with savory Caribbean cuisine.

Lindqvist Park

This intimate east end beach is quiet and peaceful. The many shady inlets five privacy to families or couples. Often featured on television, this gorgeous horseshoe shaped beach is the true definition of paradise. While there are well maintained bathrooms & showers, there is no bar or concessions, and no rental equipment. Pack your own supplies and use the small barbeques provided.

Sapphire Beach

A busy party beach with beautiful views of St. John. Watch boats cruise past and parasailers glide in the wind. There are multiple bars & restaurants, making this the east end's hottest beach! Most days, you can find a man selling his handcrafted hats made of palm fronds right on the water. Meeting others and having a good time happens naturally here, and as you could imagine, the water is sapphire blue.

Coki Beach

A small but vibrant east end beach packed with fun! Popular with locals and vacationers, this beach boasts a lively scene with restaurants, shopping, snorkel rentals, and even the V.I.'s on version of Sea World - Coral World! Swim with dolphins and sea lions, pet starfish and stingrays, and learn all about the wildlife of St. Thomas.

Brewers Bay

A south side beach located right outside the doors of the University of the Virgin Islands, where you are guaranteed to swim with sea turtles. The calm waters make snorkeling easy, even for beginners. Relax on floats and watch planes land at this bright and sunny local hangout.

Destinations

Everything you want to do after the beach!

Golden Age Horse Ranch

Across the street from serene Linqvist beach sits a lovely farm with over 20 rescued horses! Whether you are interested in an easygoing horseback ride through island trails and beaches, or want to volunteer at the ranch for a day, unforgettable memories will be made!

Cost-U-Less

Membership pricing, without the requirement of a membership! Great place to stock up on provisions for the whole family! Located in the center of the island, in the the same plaza as the movie theater.

Havensight/ Yacht Haven Grand

A commercial "haven" located right by the cruise ship docks in Long Bay. A wide array of shopping, dining, nightlife, and services in one area! Take the skylift up to the fanciest steakhouse on island (Prime) to watch an incredible sunset! Shop till you drop along the rows of retail stores, schedule a day of pampering including spa, hair, and nails, or sip on Caribbean cocktails at the many trendy outdoor bars.

Red Hook

An east end neighborhood alive day & night! The harbor is filled with boats for fishing, relaxing, or sailing. Novelty shopping, great lunch spots, and a nice market are all within walking distance of the ferry, which takes hourly trips back and forth to St. John. Approximately 20 bars and restaurants, just steps away from one another, provide and exciting nightlife scene. Our go-to post-boat trip dinner spot is Raw Sushi Bar!

Frenchtown

A historically rich neighborhood between town and the airport, this little fishing village is packed with local charm! This coast boasts some fantastic restaurants serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and entertaining nightlife. There is a brewery, a baseball field, playgrounds, a morning fisherman's market, and a museum of Frenchtown's history. You will surely find something interesting here!

Main Street/ Waterfront

Quintessential "town" of St. Thomas! Long abandoned forts, colorful architecture, local markets, and a strong local presence gives this neighborhood an authentic vibe. Take in the history of this Caribbean gem all while shopping, dining, and strolling down 18th century gades.
